Hi @jonburke I was going through attaching a file and encountered this problem. Normally, when I use file block and added an image, viewers be able to see the attached image on the postPost Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. They are displayed in reverse chronological order. by simply clicking on it. But today, this happened. When I clicked the attachment (it’s a png file), browser attempted to downloaded the file with an error “Failed – No file”.

When I checked my media on the back endBack end The back end is the area that authorized users can sign into to add, remove and modify content on the website. This may also be referred to as “WordPress”, “admin” or “the administration area.”, I can see that the file is sitting there.

Have you or anyone @all encountered this error?

Pasting in a URL, I want the block editor to let me show the URL

I want the link, P2 Guides (wordpress.com), to show the actual HTTP address so I know and they know where I’m sending users. AND I want it to be a link. WordPress seems to always resolve to the “P2 Guides (wordpress.com)” or P2 Guides (I keep changing this text URL). My workaround is to edit HTML. Perhaps I am expecting to see two fields, display name and URL, when editing using block editor, but I only see one. Furthermore, in editing bookmarks, on a browser, right click edit, it has Name and URL.

Vote for these blocks and feel free to add more in the “commentsComments Comments are the main way in P2 for you and your team to reply to posts and keep the conversation going. They’re located at the bottom of each post, and are organized in threads. Learn more.” section. Thi si my personal opinion and I want to see what the others think.

@peterdoug @radtrad @elbertcampos your ideas would be great!

Hello @jonburke it seems P2 Feedback has a new searchSearch Using search in P2, it's easy to come back to the right messages and files when you need to. Use the search field to find a post, page or file. P2+ comes with advanced search to narrow results using filters and modifiers. function. I have a few initial questions and findings on this:

  1. The shortcut key for search which is “S” is no longer working on this new search.
  2. Is this going to be the standard search for all P2 sites in the future?
  3. When I click on the new search function, it opens up a new pop-up/floating window where I can do a search. The search box is empty, no search string at all but it shows that it “Found 42 results” just below the search box. What did it initially search for?

I have few more findings to be posted separately. 🙂

Thanks!

@jonburke, my public P2 is almost ready to be launched (in my planning, this would happen in March), so I would like to know if there has been any development in the issue we discussed here.

In summary: we note that anyone, or any WP.com user, can comment on public P2. This is very unsatisfactory. So, I launched the following proposal:

There should be two types of public websites: those where only members can comment and those that anyone (with a wordpress.com account) can (with approval or not for commentsComments Comments are the main way in P2 for you and your team to reply to posts and keep the conversation going. They’re located at the bottom of each post, and are organized in threads. Learn more. made by non members).

Thanks for the help!

If you click on the Help link at the bottom of the side-bar this will now take you to P2 Help. Previously that link went to WordPress.com support but as much in P2 works differently from standard WordPress.com it makes sense to have it’s own support site.

If you ever see anything you think is missing there please comment.

Today I discovered the details of the P2 + plan, which seemed very well formatted for the use of P2 in some work environment.

So, I would like to know, since we are dealing with a product that runs in parallel to others of Automattic, if anyone who uses the tool for other purposes, such as a forum or in the educational field, will have the opportunity to make specific upgrades, especially space, like the ones that existed on WP.com before the plans (and without that implying an expansion of the type of files that can be posted – I prefer not to have an extension in the types of files, as this would require more moderation work).

Hi @jonburke I just want to check if we have an option to archive postPost Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. Every single post is in the home page which will look like a never ending scrolling down in the near future. Thank you.

This used to be a feature in the old P2 where instead of going Username, What’s up? or something like that when you start the P2 you are able to change that message. How do we do that in the new version of P2 or is this not yet added?

Hi again @jonburke , I saw your post last August 22 about the @all  feature as small new update to P2. It seems to work only when making a postPost Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. They are displayed in reverse chronological order. inside a P2 link. Typing @all will show “Everyone in this P2” inside a pop up window. But if you do it inside wordpress.com dashboard create a post, typing @all will not show “Everyone in this P2”. Can you enlighten me if I’m missing something.

Thank you!
