Hello @jonburke, I was trying out the follow postPost Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. They are displayed in reverse chronological order. via email icon at the bottom of a post.

The subject of the email notif is different from a “Viewer” roleRole User roles are the different sets of permissions that allow users to perform certain tasks. versus “Admin, Editor, Author, and Contributor”.

Viewer role will get an email with subject that starts with [New comment]. Which is true because there is a new comment.

For Admin, Editor, Author, and Contributor, the email subject starts with [New post], which is not the case.

Can we edit the subject of email notif when following a post for Admin, Editor, Author, and Contributor? The one received by a viewer is more appropriate.

Also, the email will be confusing because the subject states “New post”, but if you open the email, it will say “New comment”.

Hi, a long postPost Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. They are displayed in reverse chronological order., 2 questions: New CommentsComments Comments are the main way in P2 for you and your team to reply to posts and keep the conversation going. They’re located at the bottom of each post, and are organized in threads. Learn more.? count and OnBoarding Sales using P2.

  1. An observation of using this P2 feedback. I had 76 “New Comments” and 27 “New Posts”. When I click New Comments, and scroll down, I clicked 3 “Read Posts”. Then I refreshed P2 homepage and I was expecting to see New Posts go down to 24. But it did not. Also, “New Comments” is now “All caught up”, so 76 went to 0? This confused me, what am I missing? I thought I had 76 comments to scroll through and I only scrolled through some. Thanks.
  2. A second question or request for comments, do you have suggestions for if P2 is used to document a Sales Process? If I am a beginner on a sales team, and I need to learn the Process, perhaps P2 with more experienced sales people documenting their turning points in a Sales Process, I could ramp up with actual examples, gain insight into common sales rebuttals, common custom preference. My pros and cons:
    a) Sales is Chronological so it fits P2.
    b) It seems overkill and Sales executives probably do not want to “document” their skill
    c) Is it best to just start using P2?
    d) Have any employees/teams complained about P2 taking too much time?

Hello @jonburke, is there a way to do a refine search or any tips/ tricks on how to use search? I found this link from P2 help section https://p2help.wordpress.com/using-p2/search/ but it doesn’t have much. If I want to search for “buddy press”, I don’t want to get a result showing posts with the word “buddy” or “press”. I want to get result for “publish press” only.

I searched for buddy press and the result included a postPost Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. They are displayed in reverse chronological order. with title “wordpress” because of the word “press”.

Hi @jonburke, this was reported by one of our P2 editor. Below are info of his machine and browser.

Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon
Cinnamon-Version 4.0.10
Chrome Browser is version 88.0.4324.182 (official build) (64-Bit)

What happens is every time he clicks on a file (image), the image will open on the same tab (expected behavior). But once he clicks on the back button of his browser, instead of going back to the postPost Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. They are displayed in reverse chronological order. where he clicked the file attachment, it will open the next post.

Clicking this will open the image on the same tab to preview.

Recently Elbert posted https://p2feedback.wordpress.com/2021/02/22/file-block-using-png-file/ and noted @ all.

Fair enough. But I got an email that said “Elbert mentioned you…” well no, he mentioned everyone. I was perplexed about why I would be mentioned and hunted a bit. Very confusing.

Suggestion: @ all – should result in a different notificationNotification P2 notifications keep you informed about things that need your attention. On desktop find them in the bell icon in your top right corner. Also find notifications in your WordPress apps. than an explicit user call out.

Hello @jonburke, currently have 2 posts (posted last Feb 18) on our Internal P2 which are really acting up. If I try to edit the postPost Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. They are displayed in reverse chronological order. using front end, the title disappears.

Edit screen should still have the post title on top. In this case, it’s no longer there.

If I click save (doing nothing at all on the post), that will totally wipe the post title.

But if I go to the back endBack end The back end is the area that authorized users can sign into to add, remove and modify content on the website. This may also be referred to as “WordPress”, “admin” or “the administration area.” to check on the post, the title looks like this.

I did something extra as well, I exported my posts and imported on a different P2. I tried to edit those 2 posts, same thing happened…. It’s deleting the title and back end will gave me that title.

Hi @jonburke I was going through attaching a file and encountered this problem. Normally, when I use file block and added an image, viewers be able to see the attached image on the postPost Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. They are displayed in reverse chronological order. by simply clicking on it. But today, this happened. When I clicked the attachment (it’s a png file), browser attempted to downloaded the file with an error “Failed – No file”.

When I checked my media on the back endBack end The back end is the area that authorized users can sign into to add, remove and modify content on the website. This may also be referred to as “WordPress”, “admin” or “the administration area.”, I can see that the file is sitting there.

Have you or anyone @all encountered this error?

Hi. Portfolio shortcodes seem to not work on p2. What’s it about?

Hello @jonburke, I have another thing that is somehow confusing me. The “From” name on my inbox. If someone liked my “Comment” (within P2 Feedback), I will receive an email notif which shows that it’s from “P2 Feedback”. But if someone liked my “PostPost Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. They are displayed in reverse chronological order.”, the email notif shows that it’s from “WordPress.com”.

Also, when someone does an @mention, it will show that the notif is from “WordPress.com”.

Possible to set the “From” name as “P2 Feedback” (your P2 site) instead of “WordPress.com”?

Hello @jonburke, I checked my NotificationNotification P2 notifications keep you informed about things that need your attention. On desktop find them in the bell icon in your top right corner. Also find notifications in your WordPress apps. Settings under my profileProfile Your profile helps teammates learn more about who you are. You can upload your photo and with hover over the user name and description are displayed. and I can see that “Likes on my posts” is checked under “EMAIL”. The problem is when someone liked my postPost Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. They are displayed in reverse chronological order., I’m not getting any email notif. I know this is working because on P2 Feedback I can get emails.

Inside Site Settings, this is what I have.
