Is it possible to sort Posts in date order as they were originally created? I realize the value in ordering based on most recent Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. They are displayed in reverse chronological order.

I’ve been seeing this happen intermittently…,
when I want to embed a URL in a text element, I highlight the text, click the link icon (or ctrl+k) in Text Block Editor ribbon, then I paste the URL and hit enter but it doesn’t take. It’s as if the action never took place. When it happens I’m forced to start again, insert the link and either click the URL button or the ‘open in new tab button’ and again, it closes. I must then re-open to click “open in a new tab” to complete. it’s a 3 step process. In the past I’ve been able to do this via a single set of actions. Anyone else experiencing this?
@jonburke, I’ve not created a new P2 for a few months. Clearly good things happening with product evolution but my use case is focused on collaboration (as we’ve discussed) and I require both simple set up and ease of use for my clients who are usually not bloggers.
The value prop for me has been and is:
- Prioritizing team communications and collaborations on projects
- Planning, organizing, and sharing project status
- Documenting opportunities and decisions
- Asynchronous communications with geographically distributed teams
- Leverage as a knowledgebase on an engagement via Search
Using search in P2 it's easy to come back to the right messages and files when you need to. Use the search field to find a post, page or file. P2+ comes with advanced search to narrow results using filters and modifiers.
I tried creating a P2 for a new client today. First one I’d done since October, 2021. Skipping A theme in WordPress is a collection of files that controls the overall look and feel of a site.
If getting the basics requires a paid plan, I have no issue with that but want to be certain the P2 trajectory doesn’t lose its original use as a communications/collaboration tool for projects. For my needs I would prefer the more traditional theme like the screenshots still presented on and throughout the P2–The New Working website, like this:

And this….,

My clients, as you know are generally not bloggers but I’ve developed a good toolset that combines P2, Slack channel (if in doubt P2 it!) Google Workspace which has virtually eliminated email communications. Thought I found my comfort zone but change is inevitable, I guess.
Welcome any/all feedback from the community. Thx M

I began using P2 for private client communications in late 2020. P2 allows me to better step into their world without all the noise of email, Slack channels, etc. I create a shared folder/file structure in Google Workspace and leverage P2 for communicating and collaboration. We’re usually 90/10 Posts to Pages but I have clients who like to move contracts, agreements, wikis, etc. to Pages.
They get P2. But generally speaking, reviews have been mixed. Those who use it love it and will likely continue to use it even when our work together has wrapped which is core to my Posts let you share long-form, formatted content — like project plans or documentation — directly in P2. There is a challenge I hadn’t considered until recently; Disposition of the P2 as we wrap up activities? When a client engagement comes to a close, how do I move the site along with all Posts/Pages to them and off My Sites? Is this possible? I presume a WordPress account is needed and with any luck I’ve converted them to a level they’ll consider using P2 going forward.
Is there a reasonably frictionless way to do this? Thx. M
